My oldest has always been the curious type and she constantly asks me questions about the world around her. The embarrassing part is many times have no idea of the answer! It is all the little things I learned in elementary school that I clearly removed from my brain for advanced calculus. The amazing Tell Me book series from Barron’s is exactly the type of book my oldest daughter craves. She learns things and I enjoy reading it to her. Tell Me Why? and Tell Me What Is That? are the informative little books that answer many of the questions kids have rolling around in their brain.
Includes questions on six different categories, including: History; Nature; The Human Body; Animals; Daily Life; and the Universe. Intriguing questions include:
- Why were some pirates abandoned on a desert island?
- Why are there mummies?
- Why do we go to school?
- Why do we get car sick?
- Why don’t chickens fly?
- Why can we only see the stars at night?
- And many more!
They are both for ages 7-12 and they each contain over 180 answers to questions in an age appropriate way. It is also full of cute accompanying illustrations and stickers!
Curious children can learn about four different categories, including: Animals; The Earth; Plants; and the Human Body. They’ll find the answers to questions such as:
- What’s metamorphosis?
- What’s chlorophyll?
- What is a tsunami?
- What is the belly button for?
- What do the rings on a tree mean?
- What’s a food chain?
- And many more
These books are spiral bound and have tabs to separate the subject areas. They are full of so many fun questions and answers. I certainly was reminded of a thing or two that I had long since forgotten. Finding books that are enjoyable to your kids can be hard sometimes. These are great for kids that are always asking questions and genuinely wanting to find out the answers.
