My ten-year-old daughter is always wanting to create something for family and friends.? So I usually just look around the house for ideas for her next project.? Recently I went through all my husbands old discarded parts from jobs, and discovered he had a ton of washers.? If your like us we have tons of nail polish that we don’t?wear that can be put to good use.? This project even works on those old rusted washers that you would normally just toss in the trash.? You can transform all these discarded parts into beautiful, unique, industrial jewelry.
Supplies:
~Nail Polish
~Washers of any/all sizes (new/used)
~Twine, cording or elastic used for jewelry making
~Beads
STEP 1:
First you will need to paint your washers.? Make sure to paint the front, back, inside and outside of the washers.
STEP 2:
Once they dry you can either paint a clear coat or leave it as it is.? Now take your twine, cording or elastic and decide on your length.? Once you have your length double it.? Take the center loop and wrap it around your washer.? Then take the end of your cording and pull it through the loop so that you can pull it tight.
STEP 3:
Now you can add as many beads as you like to finish off your necklace.? Just make sure to tie the end using a larks head knot.
