My daughter Julia is preparing for preschool…I can’t believe she’s already off to school! Big adventures ahead calls for ‘big girl clothes!’ She has always loved school shopping with me when it came to her brother, but this year it was her turn!
Thanks to Target and their Cherokee brand we were able to find some cute outfits that we could mix and match.
Since school starts in late August the weather is still warm. She has plenty of summer outfits that will get her through until fall…so we wanted to pick up some fall attire.
The school uniform can get very boring, so we thought it would be fun to show you 3 ways we styled it to add more personality.
For girls, Cherokee uniform selections include a button front blouse, a safari dress with cinch waist and front pockets, knit scooter skirt with side button details and a drop waist jumper. While Boys can choose from durable flat front shorts and pants, a classic oxford shirt as well as a smooth uniform blazer while unisex options abound featuring polos in a variety of colors. Cherokee uniforms range in price from $7.99-$29.99
For our first look Julia dressed up her plan white and blue uniform with this adorable button up Heart Cardigan from Cherokee and Cow Girl Boots. I could not get these boots off her as you’ll see!
Julia switched it up this time by keeping on those boots and adding this Open Cream Cardigan from Cherokee.
And there’s the boots again…let’s just say those boots were a keeper! She also picked out this Sweater Poncho to add and dress up the plain white and blue uniform!
Of course Cherokee has a ton of basic uniforms, dresses, jumpers, shorts, skirts, and pants BUT it really is all about your child’s personality and being able to express themselves through style.
Just because they have to wear a basic uniform doesn’t mean their attire has to be boring!
