Check out these ridiculously cute, newly released picture books From HarperCollins Children’s. They are big hardback books with cute stories and even cuter illustrations. My girls’ personal countdown to 100 books read this summer is almost complete!

I wish we had a place of our own!
Every day, Freddy and Frito play together’sometimes at Freddy’s and sometimes at Frito’s.
Freddy’s house is tidy. Frito’s is loud. But both houses have rules. Don’t do this! Don’t do that!
One summer day when neither house will do, the two boys hatch a splendid plan. Everything goes well. That is . . . until it doesn’t.
In her exuberant debut as both author and illustrator, Alison Friend illuminates a truth about friendship: best friends stay together both in fun times and in frustrating ones, too.
In Freddy and Frito and the Clubhouse Rules are two best friends and they play together every day. The problem is they don’t like all the rules their parents have at their houses. So Freddy and Frito decide to find their own place…a place with no rules!? They build their own clubhouse and they invite all their friends and family to visit. They announce their place has no rules! The problem is having a place with no rules is not going exactly as they had planned. A great story about friendship and sticking together no matter what.
B.Bear (formerly known as Baby Bear) and Lolly (short for Goldilocks) want to invent a Porridge Perfecter to create the best breakfast treat ever. But while they’re hard at work, the Gingerbread Man races by and smashes their machine into pieces. With their hopes of the perfect porridge dashed, B. Bear and Lolly cook up a plan that will serve the Gingerbread Man just right. The chase is on to catch that cookie!
A. A. Livingston and Joey Chou blend sweet and silly ingredients from beloved fairy tales to concoct a delightfully original story. With its bold colors and lively text, this picture book is the perfect treat for kids and their families to savor together.
B. Bear and Lolly: Catch the Cookie! is the adorable book that takes a few classic fairy tales and mixes them up into one good story. You have Lolly and B. Bear trying to make the perfect porridge when the Gingerbread Man runs through destroying their machine and everything in his path. They head off after him but he is not easy to catch! Ridiculously cute illustrations make it fun to look over each and every page.
Buster Bickles’s big ideas were always getting him into trouble. Eggs-ray vision was not a hit at the breakfast table. His robo-show-and-tell didn?t pass the test. No one appreciated his genius. But he had no idea just how much trouble he could get into until Uncle Roswell invited Buster to test his newly invented What-if Machine.
Now anything Buster imagines can become reality.
The world may want to grab an umbrella?or a football helmet. Or maybe . . . just duck and hope that Buster’s big ideas don?t run out.
The Big Ideas of Buster Bickles is a book so full of detailed and funny illustrations you will have to re-read it several times just to see them all! Buster Bickles is full of crazy ideas but his classmates don’t quite understand and appreciate those ideas. He is off to visit is uncle who does in fact love all of Buster’s ideas! Together they test out uncle’s new “what if” machine. What could go wrong?
These adorable picture books from HarperCollins Children’s are just too cute and sure to delight little readers. All 3 of these books are the for 4-8 age range but my 3.5 year old loved them and understood them as well.
