When you really think about it, the crafting possibilities with mason jars are almost limitless! Mason Jar Crafts for Kids provides more than 25 work together crafts that will keep kids and parents busy all year. What makes this book especially awesome is that all the projects are accompanied by photo tutorials and comprehensive step-by-step instructions to make sure that children and un-crafty moms like myself can do it. Seriously, just a few sentences for each step and several pictures so you can make sure you are doing it right. This book makes it so easy for anyone to become crafty.
This amazingly bright pink concoction feels EXACTLY like the Nickelodeon Gak of my childhood. From the book it is Ooey Gooey Slime and you can make it in any color you like. It was super easy and we made it in less than 15 minutes and then we all spent an hour playing with it. So therapeutic to just cut and press and mush this stuff around giving us a full sensory play toy. It keeps in the jar and we now play with it anytime we want.
The crafts are divided up by category.
- Mason Jar Summer Camp: Crafts with Jars
- Mason Jar Merriment: Holiday Crafts with Jars
- managing the Mayhem: Mason Jar Storage Ideas
- Sharing the Mason Jar Love: Gift Ideas
- Mad Science with Mason Jars: Jarring Science Experiments
Other than one or two of the listed crafts I definitely want to make them all. Big Sis just loves browsing the bright and colorful pictures and deciding what we are gonna do next. This book has really been an inspiration to us both!
