Eden is a new
environmentally friendly company that makes fresh, cold-pressed juices
from imperfectly shaped fruits and vegetables. Despite how they look, they provide the same exact
health benefits as perfectly shaped fruit. In the U.S. as much as 40% of the food grown is thrown out. In many cases, it’s not because the food has gone bad, but because the produce doesnt meet cosmetic standards. That food that is thrown away is still nutritious food and Eden uses that “waste” to make their beverages.
Eden’s core belief is
that diversity and imperfections are not flaws to be corrected but
traits to be celebrated. They use their line of juices to fight
aspects of our culture that threaten diversity, conservation, and
overall health.
Kickstarter funding perks ranging from branded Eden T-shirts to
multi-day juice cleanses to monthly and even yearly juice subscriptions! One of the fun things about backing a Kickstarter is the fun perks! They are a nice added incentive for funding the campaign.
Eden will help limit the amount of food wasted in the U.S. by using the produce that consumers and retailers usually throw away. Theyll also make nutrient-rich food more accessible to those who struggle to get nutritious foods and those who want a simple way to improve their diets. I can’t wait to try one for myself!
