Bear can’t wait to go to sleep.
But Duck wants to hang out.
How will Bear ever fall asleep?
I have spent many a night as the bear these last few years but more often than not I was the duck growing up. Kids definitely have a way of making you tired. I can easily relate to both characters which makes this a joy for me to read as much as it is for my girls to listen to. The pictures are just as funny as the story. The bear really does crack me up since many times one finds themselves grumpy as a bear when tired. After reading the book for the bajillionth time try out a search and find with your kids. HarperCollins sent this list along and my youngest always loves look and finds so this is the type of coordinating book activity she loves!
Search and Find:
- Pink bunny stuffed animal
- Light switch
- Popcorn
- Flour bag
- Wooden spoon
- Band-Aid
- Telephone
You will have to read the book for yourself to see if the bear finally gets the rest he so desperately wants. Reading books to my girls is part of our nightly routine and funny ones like Goodnight Already! that make fun of our own nightly struggle bring on extra laughs from all of us. I also find myself ending up exactly like Bear at the end of this story!
