There is just something special about little girls and how they are naturally drawn to play with dolls. I will admit growing up I hardly ever touched a doll and I was very much a tomboy. My girls on the other hand are girly girls to the extreme and doll play is a daily occurrence. Bis Sis especially loves dressing up her dolls in multiple outfits a day. Finding clothes and accessories for her 18″ doll is becoming one of her favorite things. Together we have spent a ridiculous amount of time browsing The Queen’s Treasures to see what precious pieces can be added to our every growing doll collection.
Their newest collection for 2015 turns back the clock 100 years and spotlights life during WWI. Outfits and accessories from the brave Salvation Army Doughnut Girls, vintage stoves and an antique sewing machine are just a sampling of this detailed line.
The Salvation Army American Uniform, fits 18″ girl dolls (including American Girl Dolls). This doll uniform matches those worn by brave women who took it upon themselves to provide humanitarian assistance in times of war. The authentically styled set includes khaki jacket with embossed metal buttons and real pockets, full skirt and garrison cap. It includes a garment bag, hanger and information sheet. I was able to talk to my daughter about the uniform and why the ladies that use to wear them were so important. To make this even more special 10% of the selling price of this collection is to be donated to the Salvation Army.
If you are lucky enough
to be around Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania in the Pocono Mountains then you
can visit their showroom to see everything up close and personal. No
matter if you are not as they sell their quality products on Amazon,
eBay, BUY.com, ToyRUs.com, FAO and Sears.com as well as their own website. They started out with doll trunks and they have evolved into so much more than that. Now there are clothes, doll beds, tea sets, tables and chairs and more!
The Queen’s Treasures is dedicated to creating safe, quality products made the old-fashioned way…with pride, sold reasonably and designed to pass down from generation to generation. I can tell this piece is high quality from its thick material and fine stitching all the way to the detail on the buttons. It will certainly be an outfit we treasure for many generations to come.
