We’re sort of a tech junkie family. You can most always find a member of my household playing around with some sort of tech device – whether it’s playing games, watching movies or searching for some type of information.
The latest device my husband and I have been playing with is the Nextbook 10.1 and my husband loves it so much that he’s tried to claim it as his own. It’s a 10.1 inch tablet, but it’s also a computer with it’s detachable foldable POGO keyboard. It also features a Windows 2-In-1. Touch for those of us who like to swipe around. It’s got the Intel quality that we know and love, at Walmart affordability!

What I love about the Nextbook 10.1 is not only it’s affordability, but the ability to take notes and use it like a computer, while also accessing all of my favorite apps from the Windows store. I also have access to a full year of Office 365 Personal. It’s the perfect size to fit in my large purse for on the go, so I can effortlessly take it with me wherever I go. That’s actually a very important feature for me because I plan to do more traveling with my family this year and I won’t have to worry about work getting in the way, since I can easily work from anywhere.
My kids have been having a blast with the Nextbook 10.1; playing Xbox games, listening to music and watching videos. It’s perfect for them because of it’s small size, which makes for a perfect fit into their smaller hands. In fact, we’ve already decided that Lil Man will get his very own for his birthday in a couple of weeks!
The Nextbook 10.1 features a Windows 8.1 OS software and a Nook for Windows 8 access. Other features include:
- Back 2MP webcam and front 0.3MP webcam
- microHDMI port, headphone/microphone combo port
- Quad-Core Intel Atom-based processor
- 32GB onboard storage memory, Micro SD card slot supports up to 64GB Additional
- 6000mAh internal rechargeable battery
All in all, the Nextbook 10.1 is a pretty amazing device and its affordability is what really gets me. It’s not only perfectly giftable for the holidays, but any time of year as well!
