Announcing Numi’s New Line of Organic Savory Teas!

What is this?  Baking with tea?  Who ever heard of such a thing, you might ask?  Well I’m here to tell you; thanks to the new collection of Numi Savory Teas, it’s absolutely possible!  And trust me when I tell you, I was very skeptical at first but figured “what the heck, let’s give this a shot” and I’m so glad I did.

The very first recipe I tried was the Savory Spinach Chive Soft Pretzels, using Numi’s Spinach Chive ? Organic Savory Tea  I’ve never made pretzels before and wanted to give this recipe a try.  They came out great!  My husband and I gobbled up several of them immediately.  We used Philadelphia Garden Vegetable cream cheese to dip them in.  It was the perfect pairing and it was delicious!  I could’ve easily used melted cheddar cheese or mustard as well.  All would’ve gone great with this recipe.   I was also very  pleased that they actually came out looking like pretzels.  Being my first time I was a bit worried.  My husband even got in on the act and helped to create these beautiful and great tasting pretzels.

The second recipe I tried was the Holiday Herbal Chai Souffl? which can only be found on the back of Numi’s Holiday Herbal Chai – Organic Tea box.  This is a fabulous recipe!  Again, I ventured into uncharted waters to try making a souffl?.  I was very pleased with the results.  I couldn’t believe that the base was actually made of egg whites and not flour.  The consistency was very cake like.  It tasted so good and absolutely reminded me of the holidays!
