~I received a Ravensburger Puzzle to facilitate this post. Opinions and stories are my own.~
Second only to books, puzzles are one of my favorite time passers and no one knows puzzles like Ravensburger. As the leading supplier of puzzles around the world, they always have something new and exciting out for children and adults.

Tot and I got to spend time working on their new Disney Planes Fire & Rescue “Fighting the Fire” puzzle. He’s a huge fan of Dusty & Friends and I’m a big fan of strengthening his motor and cognition skills through puzzles! That is something we often don’t think about when we’re simply having fun with our children putting together the little pieces. Puzzles take attention to detail, working memory, judgement, problem solving and decision making skills. They are a wonderful way of helping children with their development and/or helping those with difficulties to strengthen their core thinking skills.
I really like the vivid colors they used for the “Fighting the Fire” puzzle. The bright colors aren’t only attractive to children, but also help them concentrate on which pieces would go where. This is a 100 piece puzzle designed for 6+. At 6, this was a good challenge for Tot and we worked on it together.
If your child likes the Disney Fire & Rescue line but 100 pieces is a little too big, they also have other choices available.
- Always in Action (4+): This holds 2 puzzles and each one is 24 pieces. I really love this one because it has the little SmokeJumpers!
- Planes 2 Suitcase Pack (5+): This includes 4 puzzles of the characters individually with two 64 piece and two 81 piece puzzles. The nice feature with this set is that it has a suitcase box you can carry the puzzles around with!
- Real Rescue (5+): This is also a set of 3 puzzles with 49 pieces each of the characters individually.
- Glorious Rescue Team (7+): If your child needs a bit more of a challenge, this one has the whole team in 150 pieces of beautiful illustration!
And just so you know, they also have put out Disney’s FROZEN puzzles! Of course you can’t have fire without ice, right?
You can find these Ravensburger puzzles and many, many more by visiting their store online, or any big retailer. I suggest checking out your local toy stores, they are always the right fit!
