I decided to try the High Waist Shaping Brief Shaper. Having rolls squish out of shapewear is not only unsightly, but it’s uncomfortable, too. I always end up with deep red marks and just never really feel like I can breath in normal shapewear. HookedUp is so much better. Since it hooks up to my bra, I have no visible back fat and thus, nothing to be dug into. The material itself is soft and smooth and just feels good on my skin. I also LOVE the hooks on the crotch. I cannot tell you how hard it is to try and get out of shapewear while in a tiny stall in a pretty dress because you have to go to the bathroom. With the hooks, you can just undo and let nature do its thing.
I really appreciate that HookedUp works with any bra. When I was nursing my son, I would’ve absolutely loved this. I did use nursing tanks in an attempt to hide all of the post baby squish and for modesty, but this is just so much better since it doesn’t get hooked above the bra cups like a nursing tank would. I’ve even worn this with a strapless bra and it worked great and didn’t pull down on my bra at all.
Now, I know a lot of people my age tend to think of shapewear as something that’s just for “old ladies” and that’s simply not true. To me, regardless of age, shapewear is essential to most outfits.
