If you’ve been a longtime reader, then you know that I love to whip things up in the kitchen. With such a large family, I’m always in search of delicious recipes that they’ll all enjoy. But with a busy work and family schedule, I often need quick and easy snacks too. The kids just love when we have dessert after dinner, so I thought I’d grab some Cool Whip and other things for a delicious, yet super easy trifle dessert while we were at Walmart last week. Big Bro and I went together and we sort of just let our creativity do the work and decided that a Vanilla Blueberry Trifle recipe would be a perfect treat for the end of summer.
This Vanilla Blueberry Trifle is super easy to make and requires absolutely no baking at all. How awesome is that?! Another wonderful thing about this type of dessert is that you can make single servings like we did, or you can make it in a larger container and take it to a party or feed a larger crowd. It’s one of my favorite desserts to make!
Vanilla Blueberry Trifle Recipe
My Vanilla Blueberry Trifle recipe calls for just 4 ingredients – Cool Whip, instant vanilla pudding, pound cake and blueberries. You’ll be able to serve 6 people and if you need to serve more, just double the ingredients.
I bought a frozen pound cake and obviously the Cool Whip was frozen too, so I had to thaw those out before I began. Once those two items are thawed, then you’ll wash the blueberries in cold water and cut the pound cake into one inch pieces. Next, prepare the pudding, using the amount of milk per the pie directions on the back of the box.
Next, arrange pound cake squares on the bottom of your dessert cup, until the bottom is covered. Then you’ll add a layer of vanilla pudding and top it with blueberries for the next layer. You’ll want to cover that entire layer in blueberries so that it’ll look and taste the best. Next, add some Cool Whip. I like to put mine in a piping bag and just squeeze it all around.
To finish the Vanilla Blueberry Trifle up, you’ll layer the pound cake and pudding just like the first time. Then you’ll pipe a dollop of Cool Whip in the center and add blueberries all around. It should look similar to the photos when you’re finished. You can either refrigerate before serving, or serve right away and enjoy!
This Vanilla Blueberry Trifle dessert is almost effortless and took me about 10 minutes to make 6 of them. It’s perfect for these hectic back to school schedules that many of us are trying to get used to!
