- Read a book. Sometimes opening a book to get lost in a fictional world is my best medicine. I go in my room, close the door, lie down and forget my troubles. I don’t get to read nearly as often as i’d like, but sometimes it is really the best therapy!
- Get your hands dirty. Sometimes you just have to. If it’s a nice day, go tend to your gardens. Play in the soil and let it run through your fingers. If it’s chilly, rainy or you just don’t have a garden, well grab a bag of dirt and plant some inside plants or herbs! Gardening is work, but when I go out there on days that I’m stressed, I come back inside feeling like a whole new person.
- Take a walk. Exercise is good for your body, but it’s also good for your mind. maybe you really do have some things that you need to work through your own head and a nice walk to clear your thoughts can often be the best medicine.
