It’s always good to do a good deed. Now that my son is almost 3, we try to show him the importance in doing good for others. I know that teaching him young will instill good habits in him for later in life to be kind and help others. Now there’s a new app called Ripil which allows you to share your philanthropic activities with others and encourages them to do the same.
Ripil is a free app that lets you connect with people on a human level, express your kindness toward the world around you, and allows you to keep track of the continued good that happens after your deed is accomplished.
Earn badges and increase your kindness score by logging everyday deeds, recruiting new people to Ripil, and by getting your deeds passed on. The interactive Ripil map will allow you to follow the next step in your deeds journey.
Your deed could be passed on to a friend, someone you’ve never met, maybe even a popular celebrity or athlete, even the President of the United States. Who knows, your “ripil” could lead to a world change.
Become the kindest person in your city via the Ripil Leaderboard that keeps track of the Top 10 kindest people in the Top 10 kindest cities around the world.
Compete in “head to head” kindness challenges with your friends, have your city go up against another city to see who is kinder, or have a local school challenge another school to see who’s students can hit a certain amount of deeds first. Companies small and large can compete with each other as well as we find out who the kindest companies in the world are.
Ripil can be your own personal kindness journal or a way to share more kindness throughout the world.
This is a really cool app to use. I love that it keeps track of the good deeds I’ve done and let’s you see how far the deed has traveled. The Quest section is great because you can select a category and then it gives you things to complete. For example, while I was at the grocery store today, I went to the Grocery Quest. My deeds were to return my shopping cart (which I did), let someone cut in front of me in line, and help someone out to their car with their bags. Once you complete a Quest, you get a badge for it.
Competitions are also fun because it allows you to join a team and work together to complete different deeds. Each team member completes each deed and the first team to reach a certain number of teammates that have completed all of the deeds wins. There’s nothing like a good friendly competition, especially when it involves being kind to others.
As you complete deeds, you get codes that you can have others enter when they sign up. This will help your kindness score go up as well as allowing you to see just how far you good deed will travel. After performing each good deed, you can share on social media as well to help expand your influence.
Ripil is a wonderful app that makes being kind even more fun. There’s a leaderboard and every person has a score which motivated me to want to do more acts of kindness. I think this is great app to use with your children to show them just how far your acts of kindness can travel individually and as a family. My son already had a great time checking off our deeds from the grocery store and I know he’ll be asking for more things we can do together to help others so we can track it on Ripil.
