The film shows breathtaking views of Alaska and shows you how hard a cub’s life really is. I never knew how far a bear had to travel after hibernation to find food and I learned how important salmon is to a bear’s diet and ultimately for milk production for the cubs. Sure those bears look cute and cuddly but the movie shows how fierce they can be and that they even fight each other. My whole family is officially hooked and I can guarantee we will be seeing all the other Disneynature films. This is also one of those DVDs where the bonus features are not to be missed! I found it incredibly interesting to see how they made this movie. This is a wonderful way to change up our typical movies on our family movie night every week.
