Summers in Florida can be brutal. It’s so hot and the humidity is high – you basically feel like you’re walking through hot, thick soup all day. Needless to say, the summer weather does not do wonders for my makeup. I feel like I end up sweating off most of my makeup the second I walk out the door. Here’s my roundup of the latest and greatest cooling/water-proof/water-resistant makeup for this summer.

I absolutely love cream shadows and the new Laura Geller Beauty Cool Lids is my new favorite. It glides on nicely and lasts all day long. The Rose Gold Goddess is an absolutely fabulous color that I think would go well with all skin tones. My friend noticed it from all the way across the room the other day when we met up for coffee and immediately asked what I was wearing.

In the summer I tend to skip daytime eyeliner because it usually just melts off, but not with the new e.l.f. Studio Collection Waterproof Eyeliner Crayon. I love how easily this goes on and it lasts a long time. The moss color looks great with my brown eyes and I think the champagne color would go great on the waterline of your eyes to make them look brighter and really pop.

I have been known to use brow powder on occasion to try and get a more arched look, but I always find it difficult to get it looking just right. I even used the highlighter in the corner of my eyes to help look a bit more awake. The color goes with any color eyebrows and is 100% waterproof.
At the end of the day, removing eye makeup can be a chore. Some products just don’t get off the eye makeup very well and a lot of times with the liquid eye makeup removers I end up getting some in my eyes which really burns. The new Maybelline New York Clean Express! Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover is a gel that gets off the most stubborn waterproof eye makeup. It is so nice to not have to scrub at my eyes with this, just one swipe and my makeup was off. It’s oil-free which I love because other eye makeup removes I’ve tried have left my eyes feeling greasy.
