Hey everyone, meet my niece Maggie (pictured below)! She lives in New Hampsire and is my helper for this project. She picked out the pieces from LockerLookz for me to put together and showcase for you all.

I had no idea that these kinds of products were available for tween girls from ages 8 – 14 years old. When I found out that I was going to be able to check out this product I got very excited and called my younger sister. She has 3 daughters in this age group and who better to help me out with this than one of them. You could’ve knocked me over with a feather, however, when I called to ask for help. My nieces were all over this! As a matter of fact, Maggie’s younger sister Brynna is green with envy that Maggie is the one helping me with this. She desperately wants these products to decorate her locker with this coming fall as it will be her first year in middle school. I was shocked! She knew about the chandeliers and everything! My daughters are all grown up and this was never something that was available to them. I know it wasn’t anything we did when I was in middle school. It made me laugh and realize how truly important it is for young girls to establish themselves through their style and personalities. Of course, their personalities are reflected in their style and why this is so important and exciting to them. While Maggie will be the recipient of these products, since she picked them out and her birthday is at the end of August, Brynna will also be receiving a set as a VERY early birthday present this year. Shhhhh, don’t tell her . . .it’s a surprise! And I, of course, will receive the “Coolest Auntie Ever” award this year for sure . . .
Maggie choose wallpaper in Midnight Paisley, a blue rug, a Blue Flower picture frame, a Blue Flower bin and a Blue Flower white board. I think she made some great choices! LockerLookz has different colors and styles to choose from and you can very easily mix and match your pieces to suit your sense of style.
I decided to go to our local high school, where my daughters graduated from, and see if they would let me decorate a locker that was unoccupied. There was a very nice lady at the reception desk that was very accommodating. As a matter of fact, once the decorating was done, she and another lady came to view my work and were incredibly helpful. They loved how it looked and thought it was a great idea. They had never heard of it before either. They also had some great questions like “Does the glitter come off and get all over the place?” No it does not. I lightly scratched at it and it stayed in place. There was no glitter all over the place as I worked with the wallpapers either. I thought this was great and so did she. The other lady noticed how heavily magnetized the accessories were and commented on what a great feature that was as it would withstand the slamming of the locker doors that take place repeatedly throughout the day.
The pieces were very easy to install and came with instructions that were simple to follow. The wall paper has a grid pattern on the back to easily customize the fit to the locker. There are also perforation areas on each piece to accommodate for locking mechanisms as well as hooks or other hardware that is permanently attached to the locker. It also comes with 20 heavy duty magnets to hold it tightly in place and make for easy removal whenever you want to change decor, switch lockers, mix ‘n match with a friend or take home at the end of the school year and re-use again next year. Pure genius!
