Hubby has quite a few ties, but no where to wear them. Lucky for him, he can wear jeans and a polo shirt to work – no tie needed. Since he has so many lying around collecting dust, I decided it was time I gave my favorite one a new purpose in life.
Supplies:
Tie
Scissors
Fabric Glue
Velcro
Thread & needle (optional)
Start by measuring your phone in the tie and cutting off any extra tie. You can save it to use for another project if you’d like.
This is the optional sew part – I decided to hand stitch the end here just to make it look nice and clean, but you can fabric glue it if you want.
I glued up the sides and then stuck the whole thing under a book to dry. Make sure to wipe off an excess glue with a wet paper towel.
I glued on a velcro square and once it was dry, I was all finished.
This is the perfect case to keep your phone in. It looks really fun and chances are no one will have the same one as you. You can even make it bigger to hold glasses or use it as a small clutch to hold your credit cards and lip gloss.
Since my dad is always dropping his phone, I’m going to make him one for his phone. It’s a fun twist on the Father’s Day tie that I’m sure he’s going to love. I just need to make sure to get one with a little less pink 🙂
