One of the softest and most breathable fabrics to wrap up your baby in is with a muslin blanket. The premium leader in all things muslin would be the collections from Aden + Anais. Their high quality blankets also have some of the cutest designs out there. Simple yet elegant and flat out adorable. They have products that are not only great in the winter but perfect for summertime as well.
Their dream blankets are aptly named because they are a dream to touch. So soft and they only gets softer with each washing. It is sized generously at 47×47 so my 2 year old toddler uses hers to sleep with at night. She is completely covered up and with 4 layers of cotton muslin it keeps her cozy yet she doesn’t get overheated. You might be thinking but I want one for me. They have you covered as they sell a daydream blanket that is big enough for big kids and adults too!
They also have hooded towel sets that are great for bath time. The pre-washed hooded towel is terry and the washcloth is cotton muslin. The towel is the softest terry towel I have every touched and super absorbent. This is not one of those thin baby towels that I received way too many of when I was pregnant. This is nice and thick to keep my baby warm and to get her dry fast. These would work great by the pool too. The washcloth is nice and soft and I find it works great to get a good suds going with soap and that the material is great for getting off the mud pies they cooked earlier in the backyard.
I have been using their
swaddling blankets and sleep sacks for years but just because my babies
are getting older doesn’t mean they grow out of Aden + Anais. My preschooler uses the dream blanket as her lap blanket for car trips and she has toweled off on the towel many times as well. The washcloths are so nice that the whole family now uses them! Now I just need to stock up on more so we aren’t fighting for them when they come out of the dryer!
