Spring is in the air! I cannot even begin to express how I excited I am to finally say that! It was a long, bitter and cold winter here in Wisconsin and it’s so enlightening to see color starting to pop here and there and just to be able to get outside and work in the yard.
Now that I can open the windows without making the entire house freezing cold, I’ve begun my Spring cleaning. Thanks to Pampers, I was able to give the gift of gentle clean to another mom who could really use some help right now. Being a parent is hard, but being a single parent has got to be even harder; especially if you’re going through your own turmoil.
Pampers armed me with some wipes, cleaning caddy, gloves, lotion and a Swiffer Wet Jet. Then I had to come up with an idea that would have the most impact on my friend.
Of course, cleaning supplies are the first thing that come to mind when preparing to spring clean. So I picked up so multi-purpose cleaner, hand soap and some Pampers diapers. Clean laundry is a must, so I thought some of my new favorite laundry detergent and fabric softener would be perfect. The hints of lavender are sure to give her and baby girl a good night’s sleep after all that cleaning is done!
One of the big projects that I {and probably at least half of the moms on the planet} tackle4 come spring id the kids room. We go through the toys and get rid of anything that is broken or not being used – designating a box to donate and a box for garbage. Then we go through the dreaded dresser drawers and get rid of anything they’ve outgrown.
As I thought about this, I figured my friend is probably going through that same thing right now, but on a higher scale since her daughter is still so little and just growing like crazy. I found some adorable little spring dresses that I thought would be perfect to replace the old outgrown clothing with. Then I happened on a clearance rack and found a complete outfit, shirts, pants and tights for just a couple dollars each!
Add some shoes and some new sippy cups and we were golden. I just knew that my gift would have a huge impact when it came time to purging and spring cleaning.
The look on my friend’s face was priceless. She appreciated everything so much and told me how badly her daughter needed bigger clothes for the new season. It’s little moments like this that make me appreciate the companies that I work with – that they allow me to have such an impact on the lives of those around me. I truly am blessed!
