I’ve been sharing information about the BMO Harris Bank Scavenger Hunt Sweepstakes with you for the last couple of weeks. As I’ve mentioned before, it’s a pretty awesome contest where you can enter for a chance to win huge prizes each week.
Entering the BMO Harris Bank Scavenger Hunt is super easy. You’ll just have to “Like” BMO Harris Bank on Facebook and explore all of the red balloons on the map. You’ll collect tokens by doing tasks such as answering questions and watching short video clips. Once you’ve collected all 3 tokens, you will see a congratulations message and you’ll be able to enter your name and other information. This week is all about purchasing a new home. You might be surprised to find some information you didn’t know once you complete the tasks.
I remember when we were looking for a home 3 years ago. It was the most time consuming thing I’ve ever done! My husband and I would stalk our favorite website that had listings from everywhere. When we found houses that interested us, we would write down the addresses and drive all over looking at houses from the outside. This helped us get a feel for the area, the size lot, the neighborhood and all of that. If a house kept our interest after that, we would schedule a showing.
The process for us was much more intense because we were looking for 3 bedrooms, with a potential 4th and a very small budget. But it was what it was and after a month straight of looking online, driving and touring houses, we finally found our “Diamond in the Rough” as the listing portrayed it.
The house was a mess, completely inhabitable. But we saw the potential for the beauty that all of the appearances hid. We had carpet and counter tops installed and did the rest of the work ourselves and with the help of friends/family. After a month straight of work, we finally had the back potion of the house finished and could move in.
