Child hunger is a real problem and contrary to what some believe, it’s not just in other countries. Children in the US go hungry every. single. day. It’s a sad reality and the statistics are frightening. More than 16 million children in the US alone, don’t know where their next meal is coming from. That number could fill 8,000 playgrounds and is such a scary fact to think about. Even sadder is that these children that go hungry can suffer life long consequences not just to their health, but education and overall well-being too!
That’s why I’m here today, to encourage you and everyone around you to get on board with ConAgra Foods and P&G to help deliver up to 7 million meals through the Child Hunger Ends Here campaign. Together, we can make a world of difference and you don’t even know how easy it really is to help!
You probably purchase ConAgra Foods and P&G products for your family all the time. Well some of these products will have a red pushpin on the packaging like the one below. There will be an 8 digit code and you can enter that through the widget on the right sidebar here at Outnumbered 3 to 1 and/or on the Child Hunger Ends Here website through August. The equivalent to one meal will be donated to Feeding America for each code entered!
There are other ways that you can help too! Grammy-??nominated country music artist Hunter Hayes is working with Child Hunger Ends Here and together they will donate one meal (up to one million meals) to Feeding America for every download of his new single “Invisible” on iTunes.
You can also enter for a chance to attend an exclusive Hunter Hayes event by posting your favorite family photo to Instagram with the #HunterGramPromo hashtag. Child Hunger Ends Here will even donate one meal for every photo shared! You can see all of the submissions through the “HunterGram” tab on the Child Hunger Ends Here Facebook page.
