Life in the kitchen may have just gotten a little easier for some people. Domino? and C&H? Sugars just launched Flip Top Sugars that are perfectly pourable.
- Pourable Brown Sugar ? This free-flowing sugar prevents clumps and hardening, and is ideal for sprinkling over fruit, oatmeal and cereal. Varieties include Domino Pourable Light Brown Sugar (east coast) and C&H Pourable Golden Brown Sugar (west coast).
- Quick Dissolve Superfine Sugar ? With finer crystals than traditional granulated, Quick Dissolve Superfine Sugar rapidly dissolves in hot and cold drinks, adding a perfect touch of sweetness to beverages such as coffee (hot or iced) and iced tea.
I received a selection of these new sugars and they sure are convenient. I no longer have to deal with sugar spills on the counter from the kids eating their daily cereal. They love the fact that they can just pour, instead of having to dip their spoon in. It’s a win/win!
Now let’s talk baking here. These new pourable sugars make baking so much easier! One of my biggest pet peeves used to be that the brown sugar would be clumpy every time I’d go to use it. I’d have to sit there and pretty much massage the bag to get rid of all the clumps each time I used it. I no longer have to do that because these new Flip Top Sugars don’t clump!
Another convenience in baking is that I can just pour either sugars right into my measuring cup. I no longer have to dip the measuring cup inside an almost empty bag and hope for the best. Now, just pour into my measuring cup, then pour into my mixing bowl!
Of course both the brown sugar and superfine sugar still have the great taste that we’ve grown to love. They’re just a lot more convenient now!
