I’m sure you’ve all heard of the Swiffer Sweeper before. It’s something I tried years ago for the first time and it became a cleaning staple in my house right away. Well now Swiffer has got something new up their sleeve – the Swiffer Sweep & Trap. It just hit Walmart shelves yesterday and after testing it myself, I’m sure it will be a huge hit!
The Swiffer Sweep & Trap comes in a box with easy to follow assembly instructions. I had it assembled in about a minute or two, I kid you not – I didn’t even really need the instructions! You just put the pieces of the handle together, attach a Swiffer cloth and voila – you’re ready to get cleaning!
The first mess for my challenge was some crumbs. The Swiffer Sweep & Trap cleaned this mess up with ease – just like I knew it would. All of the little particals got “trapped” inside the base. Then you simply push the little prongs together to release the trap, pull it out and dump it in the garbage.
Simple as that! Anything that wasn’t trapped inside, will be trapped on the Swiffer cloth.
My next mission was to pick up the screws and I’ll be honest – I didn’t think it would work. I mean, c’mon even the vacuum spits them little suckers right back out at me! But to my surprise, it worked! It actually worked to pick them up quicker than the other mess. I was pleasantly surprised, to say the least!
Just like the other mess, the screws were inside the trap – ready to be dumped out.
Overall, I am quite impressed with the Swiffer Sweep & Trap. It did the job well and the little Swiffer cloth even picked up the dog hair and other stuff on the floor. I like that this is sort of like a vacuum for hard floors and it’s definitely helped eliminate the number of times I have to bust out the broom and dustpan. With the Swiffer Sweep & Trap, it’s all in one and easy to use. So the next time Maxwell or our new little kitten spill their food, clean up will be a breeze!
