The holidays are here – whether we care to admit it or not! Things are heating up and getting super busy. I swear I must have been hiding under a rock because I’ve barely even begun baking or shopping and there’s just over two weeks to go. Since I’m going to be a busy madwoman for the next two weeks, I decided I better stock up on some quick snacks for the kids while I was at Sam’s Club last week. One of their favorite things is corn dogs so I knew the big box of 30 Country Ribbon Corn Dogs I found in the freezer section would be perfect for my family. I love that they can be a snack or a meal too!
We like to play with our food, so I thought it would be fun to make some Corny Reindeer. I grabbed all of the supplies we would need and set up the table for afternoon snacking fun.
Big Bro is always hungry when he gets home from school, so I knew that would be a perfect time for him to snack on some yummy and fun corn dogs. I showed him the ropes and told him to get creative. He started with pretzel twists for antlers, then added pretzel rods for the legs.
A couple of chocolate chips, some ketchup and mustard – and he had a cute little reindeer just begging to be eaten.
The Corny Reindeer was a hit and he begged to have corn dogs for dinner. I bet we’ll even have to dress them up as reindeer again!
My brother’s girlfriend made one too and I love how creative she got with the little buttons – adorable!
Club Tyson wants to see how you #GetCorny for the holidays. Between today December 9th through December 13th, Club Tyson is hosting a Sweater Sharing Contest on their Facebook page. They’ll be posting a new photo every day and the only thing you have to do to enter is to “like” the photo for a chance to win a Get Corny Christmas Sweater.
In true Christmas spirit, I even went out and bought my own corny sweater just for your pure entertainment. Just don’t mind my au natural look with no make-up – eeek!
Making your own Cony Reindeer is super easy. You just need the following supplies/ingredients:
- 1 Country Ribbon Corn Dog
- 2 chocolate chips
- 2 pretzel rods
- 1 pretzel twist
- ketchup
- mustard
Participating Sam’s Club stores will be hosting in store demos on 12/12/13 and 12/13/13 so make sure to go hungry so you’ll have room for all of the food! You can see a full list of participating stores here.
