I just adore personalized books for my child. Nothing lights up a child’s face more than seeing themselves and their names in a book. It’s a wonderful way to get a child into reading and makes for a great family activity on cool winter nights. I have a whole collection of personalized books for Sonshine, but sometimes, certain stories just stand out more than others.
Put Me In The Story has a wonderfully imaginative storybook out for the holidays called Santa is coming to [my] House! You get to personalize the story with your child’s picture, their name, and a blip on the dedication page straight from you!
The book was so simple to personalize! I chose a cute picture of Sonshine, entered his name, our from name, and a simple dedication. Within five minutes, I was done! It was really that simple. I thought I might be missing something, but Put Me In The Story handles it all from there!
Our book arrived quickly and I couldn’t wait to open it up and read the adventure within. Not only did see my son’s name easily woven into the story, the story itself was exciting! It was as if the story was written specifically for my son, not a carefully worded “we can add anybody’s name” type of deal. Unlike other personalization books, you could take out your child’s name and it’s still a fabulous read with a great message and silliness all around!
The story is fast paced, quick witted, and written impeccably. The drawings are detailed and a nice matte finish. No glossy pages, filled with pictures of Santa hiding his face. You get the jolly, big beard, rosy cheek Santa who is on the adventure of his life. Getting lost, funny reindeer, flying presents, and more, Santa is coming to My House is a fun filled adventure that will get your child/ren flying high on holiday spirit! I can see this personalized book being put into our reading rotation long after Santa has come to visit us!
