My family has been eating a lot of Arnold Bread lately, thanks in part to my Bread-bassador status with Arnold/Brownberry/Oroweat. Sandwich after sandwich has been devoured by my little troop of boys. But I’m certainly not complaining, because at least they are eating something that is nutritional and good for them!
This is what one of my FIL’s sandwiches often look like, some bologna and mayonnaise. The kids’ look similar – with ham, turkey or PB&J. I however am a bit more picky and generally don’t just throw some meat and mayonnaise on some bread and call it a sandwich.
No, I want a real sandwich. I need something tasty that will tantalize my taste buds. Something like this Chicken Salad Sandwich below. Now that’s what I’m talking about! I’ll admit it, I didn’t make the sandwich below. The photo was provided to me by Arnold/Brownberry/Oroweat. But I’ve got my own great recipes to share over the weekend. One just happens to be for my homemade Chicken Salad too!
As I mentioned in my other post, Arnold/Brownberry/Oroweat has teamed up with Allison Sweeney to “Feed Your Better” in a campaign to help empower Americans to be the best that they can be and achieve their personal goals. A total of $100,000 will be awarded to help winners reach this goal and you can find more detailed contest information at FeedYourBetter.com.
For my personal Feed Your Better, I’ve been eating less and choosing better food options when I do eat. I’ve also been drinking more water. On a career aspect, I’ve been working my butt off to do more and make more in the hopes to provide a great income for my family.
The Better Self Survey
A recent national survey revealed that Americans seek self-improvement, but either they or their budgets get in the way of successfully achieving their better selves. The study shows that Americans think fatter wallets, flatter stomachs and better food are the keys to self improvement, and they would focus on saving money (21%) and increasing exercise (21%) to help them feel better, along with eating healthy (17%).
What would you do to Feed Your Better?
