I have something really special for you today! This is such a great idea for everyone young and old! Have you ever heard of Compendium? They are an amazing company that uses thoughtful, inspiring words and turns them into extraordinary and memorable gifts. They gave me the wonderful privilege to pick out two books from their Story Lines collection. Before I get into telling you a little about these adorable books, I want to thank Compendium for their generosity and kindness…so thank you!
The two books I picked out were Our Crazy Dinner and Rainbow Kitty Saves the Day. I have two children a boy and a girl, this would have been great for them, but I wanted to stay along the lines of this companies theme and be thoughtful. So I gave these two books to our neighbors children as a gift. They have both a boy and a girl, and they’re at a great age where they can have a blast with these!
The primary point of these Story Line books is your child can be the illustrator behind the words. They can put their name and age, plus hometown. Then it asks some silly questions for them to answer. I love books like this… as parents you can look back and capture their thoughts and feelings at the age they created it.
One great thing about these books are the fact they are hard bound, and the drawing space is quite big. So your little one can use their imagination to their full potential!
Here is my neighbors daughter drawing what she feels the words are saying. She was so cute, I read her the story line and she said she didn’t know how to draw a cat. I encouraged her to draw her families cat who’s name is Jackson…so this is her version of Jackson.
I just love it’s ears and it’s tail!
She is only 3 years old, and I think she is a great artist! What do you think?
