There are a million books, and websites on the perfect way to lose weight. For me this can be very confusing and mind boggling. Don’t eat carbs, eat carbs! Eat all the time, only eat 3 meals a day! No need to exercise, get moving…exercise, exercise, exercise!
Everybody’s different, and different things work for different people.
Wouldn’t it be nice if we could stay balanced in the “diet” world? Well, as imperfect humans, many of us struggle every single day with balance, myself included. We all live busy lives in one way or another, working, cleaning, taking care of the family, the yard work needs done, oh and we have to eat healthy on top of all that, oops don’t forget exercise.
Today I’m going to help you out a little in the,”being healthy,” area of life. FoodLovers truly helped me and I know their system can help you too!
FoodLovers helped me make small changes that make a difference! For instance, the very first day of my 21 Day Metabolism Makeover, I was instructed to eat every 2-3 hours whether it be a handful of grapes, crackers, or an apple. This is a small change that makes a BIG difference. Why? Well, when we eat less food and starve ourselves, the body takes the food that we do eat and stores it as fat. Day one of FoodLover’s helped train me that eating more often gets my metabolism going, and that’s the main goal.
The awesome thing I loved about this system is the fact that every single day they slowly incorporate ways to improve your metabolism. Not all at once, which all of us know can be a bit overwhelming, but slowly, one day at a time.
Another thing I liked about this system is online they give you so many tools! The one I truly enjoyed was the Menu Planner! You simply put the foods you love, the foods you hate, and the foods you eat most often, and they make up your menu plan for the week. Plus you can change it anytime you wish!

These meal planners help you make the perfect FoodLovers plate. To be honest this was a little challenging at first, I had to learn what a slow carb, fast carb, and protein was. Then I was to learn how to make the perfect plate full of these foods. Trust me you get the hang of it quickly, and like I said before, they slowly incorporate these ideas, one day at a time!
Now I’m sure you are wondering how I did on this system. Yes? You may remember, I talked briefly about this system a month ago before I started this 21 Day Challenge, I had no idea what I was getting myself into! I was pleasantly surprised, especially when I noticed my clothes fitting differently!
I lost a total of 8 pounds, and a few inches here and there! I noticed my thighs and waist especially changed, I lost an inch off of them both!
Now I know this isn’t a huge difference, but FoodLovers gave me a gift, a gift that I will always have with me! This gift is learning how to eat, and what foods go together to burn fat and not store it. So this is coming from a person(me) who has failed on every diet she has ever tried. Trust me this is not a diet, this is a way of getting our bodies back on track and staying on track!
