Zoe rules as Queen of the Universe — or at least, her room! — in this sweet, funny companion to Zoe Gets Ready.
Zoe is the Queen of the whole Universe … but her favorite place in the Universe is her own room, where she hosts tea parties, builds empires out of blocks, and gazes out upon the stars.
Then her parents announce that her little sister Addie is moving in to Zoe’s room. Little sisters aren’t good at tea parties (too rude), block-building (too clumsy), and starwatching (just plain too young!). So the Queen’s new roommate is a royal pain . . . until Zoe discovers that even her smallest subjects can be useful in a storm!
I have two daughters, thus they are sisters and therefore this is the perfect book for our bedtime reading! This is such a fun book and I loved it from the moment I saw the cover and I know I shouldn’t but I really am a sucker for a good book cover!
The slipcover on the hardback even shimmers and sparkles. My girls can never get enough sparkles!
This book is the companion book to Zoe Gets Ready and even though I have not read that book I still was able to enjoy this book and I never felt lost or confused.
Zoe is the big sister and she loves getting up after bedtime and playing quietly in her room…that is until her baby sister Addie moves in and becomes her roommmate. Now anytime Zoe tries to do her normal nighttime activities Addie wakes up and cries. Zoe is not happy and all. Then one night she hears thunder outside her room and she soon discovers it can be nice to have a fun little roommate to share things with.
The pictures from the book are just gorgeous and really bring Zoe and Addie to life.
Overall a super sweet story to share with any child but especially a pair of sisters like my daughters.
