When I first became a mom, just over 14 years ago, I would have never guessed that corn dogs would become a regular part of my life. When Zack was 2 he discovered his love for the hotdog but he never enjoyed the bun and this left me in search of an alternative. I’ll be honest, before I had kids, I had never eaten a corndog in my life. For some reason, food on a stick never really appealed to me.
After a trip to the grocery store and through the frozen foods section, I returned home with my first ever box of State Fair Corn Dogs. After devouring the first one in less than 5 minutes and asking for another, I knew corn dogs were going to be on the grocery list all the time.
So, here I am, 12 years after making that first purchase, 3 more kids (with another on the way) and I am still buying State Fair Brand Corn Dogs and the other 3 kids enjoy them just as much as Zack did when he first encountered them! Alexander likes them soooo much that we have started referring to him as Captain Corn Dog!
Ellie is very fond of the corn dog as well but right now, she still prefers ketchup more than anything!
