I am very excited to share with you Linwoods Healhfoods! I received the opportunity to review some of their “Super Food” products. I have been wanting to add some sort of flax to my, and my children’s daily routine. There are so many amazing health benefits just by adding a few tablespoons to one or more meals a day.

So right away I was thinking of ways I could add these “Super Foods” in our diet. I added it to our oatmeal, pancakes (recipe below), salads, cereal, and smoothies (recipe below).

My kids love pancakes, so of course I added Linwoods to my recipe (which is very simple). For the pancakes I choose to add the Flax seed, Almonds, Brazil Nuts, Walnuts &Q10. This is my favorite, yes all these wonderful benefits wrapped up in one single package! The best part is-my children didn’t even know it!
Ingredients
2 cups favorite pancake mix
1 large egg
1 1/3 cups milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
Heat griddle to 400 degrees, stir all ingredients together, lightly grease the griddle and pour slightly less than 1/4 cup batter onto griddle. Cook until bubbles form on top of pancake then your ready to flip.
Another breakfast meal my family loves is smoothies, even the kids! While I’m making mine I always make a little extra for them. I decided to try the Flaxseed in our strawberry smoothie.
Ingredients
5 strawberries
5 ice cubes
1 banana
splash of OJ
splash of Kefir (or yogurt)
2 Tbs Flaxseed
Directions
Put all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth. It’s that simple!
This is a hit around our house! The best thing about Linwoods is you can add any of their “Superfoods” to your recipes and you won’t be disappointed. Their products are ground up very fine, it’s almost as if they’re not there! That’s a great added benefit for picky eaters!
