Baby products have changed quite drastically since my kids were babies. Now the products are more versatile and just all around so much better than they were 11 years ago. It’s great to see old companies that I trust like Graco coming out with so many new and exciting products for babies and their parents.
With my SIL recently giving birth to quadruplets, they’re going to need at least four of everything by the time the babies are able to come home from the hospital. That’s why I was excited to include the Glider Elite Gliding Swing in this event – because it’s essentially two products in one! It’s a swing and a removable bouncer!
The swing arrived and of course I needed The Man’s help to put it together. It’s been 11 years since we’ve put any baby products together, so we definitely needed the directions – every step of the way. During assembly, we just couldn’t get over how far baby products have evolved over the years. My kids had nothing close to this, especially comfort wise!
The fabric on the inside isn’t just a thin cloth or plastic based like the swings we had back then. Instead, it’s soft plush type fabric with multiple levels of cushioning. The very inside is cushioned, then the headrest has its own extra layer of padding and the seat area has another. Baby is sure to feel nothing but comfort in here with the full body support cushioning.
I also love the fun circle design and the neutral colors that can easily blend in and work for both boys and girls.
Once the swing was assembled, we were just in awe. It literally made me almost want another baby just so that we could have cool stuff like this around the house for them. However, I think I can wait a few years until I’m an aunt again, or even 5-10 more years until I’m a Grandma.
We plugged the swing in and checked it out in action. There are 3 different recline positions for baby’s ultimate comfort as well as 2 speed settings for vibrations.
The settings are on one side of the swing and there are 6 different speeds that you can use for the glider. You can use the timer as well so that the swing will stop after a certain period of time. I love that feature since my boys’ swing was one of those old ones that you had to crank!
You can either plug the swing into the wall outlet or use batteries when an outlet isn’t available. The Glider Elite Gliding Swing takes up 40% less space that some of the other swings on the market, so it’s definitely great if you don’t have a lot of space, or just don’t want to take up a lot of space.
The removal bouncer comes off of the swing base quite easily and the handle comes right with it so that you can carry it {without baby of course} with you wherever you need to go.
