Today I wanted to share with you some tips and tricks that have helped me along this 21 Day Challenge, and that are still helping me. Remember the whole reason for this is to establish a healthy habit in 21 Days.
Tips and Tricks
- Count your calories. Ugh…I just knew I had to do this and this was the one thing I was dreading. So I decided to call some reinforcements, …my “pal,”…… “My Fitness Pal” that is! This wonderful website was my bestfriend and still is!
- Use smaller plates.
- Use meat as a side dish. Load up on healthy grains and veggies, this way you get tons of fiber and nutrients. Plus you feel fuller longer.
- Split a serving. When at a restaurant split a meal with a friend or put half of your meal in a to-go box. I learned at resturants meals are usually over 1000 calories unless specified…that’s crazy! But don’t be discouraged, you can still eat out!
- Eat small meals. Keep your blood sugar levels even thoughout the day when eating 5-6 small meals. Professionals say you are less likely to devour tons of calories at a meal if you use this tip.
- Drink more water.
- Make a simple smoothie for breakfast or lunch.
I know you are probably curious to know how much I lost during these 21 days. My starting point was
176 pounds. I was able to drop down to 166 pounds. So that’s a total of 10 pounds in 21 Days!
I could not believe the difference! Of course, I felt my clothes fitting differently but I never thought a photo of me losing 10 pounds would look so drastic!
Please start a 21 day healthy habit challenge! You won’t regret it!
