There is one thing that my son loves more than anything else, vehicles. Trucks, Monster Trucks, cars, construction equipment.. if it can be driven he will love it forever. As he has gotten older I’ve seen him go from simply lining up cars to wanting to build them. We’ve tried a few different things, unfortunately everything was out of his age group and too complicated for a 4 year old. Then I was introduced to Motorworks and a kind of magic happened.
All the pieces for the Motorworks customize-able wooden vehicles are tot friendly. They’re easy to manipulate and piece together, customize and even decorate for those little fingers! We were given two vehicles to customize with decals to change them up and he had the time of his life!
All the pieces on the vehicles are interchangeable; everything from the bumpers to the wheel assembly. The decals are also removable and can be replaced, so you don’t have to worry about them being used once.
This is a really great video showing kids mixing and matching the pieces and how it works!
I think the greatest aspects of this toy is the fact that it allows kids to not only expand their imagination by creating their own unique vehicles, but also strengthens their hand/eye coordination by manipulating the pieces. For my son who has delays in his coordination, this is a wonder toy! It allows him to think outside of the box and gives him the capability to do it himself; which is important for kids that are trying to learn independence.
There are 3 different series with 3 different vehicles in each one.
Street Series:
- XT Sports
- GT Road Racer
- FX Tuner Wagon
Speed Series:
- EXS Ground Effects
- STS Police Cruiser
- FSS Flairside Truck
- FSX Monster Truck
- STX Patriot Dragster
- FX Fire Chief
There is also a Super Speed Powerpack, Sport Truck Powerpack and two different Playsets available! You can check out all the different vehicles as well as the many accessories on Motorworks.
I can honestly say that these have become a big favorite in our home. We plan on expanding our own packs soon so we can make more variations of the two we have, but so far it has been extremely fun watching my tot come up with his own concepts! I really think your kids are going to absolutely love these too!
Purchase: The prices of the vehicles vary between $13.99+ for a Single, $29.99+ for Powerpacks (that’s 2) and $4.99+ for Accessory packs. You can see the individual prices on Motorworks.
