I love the Fall season; the beautiful colors of leaves changing colors, the aroma of pumpkin and spice and of course all of the fun! There’s nothing like taking the little ones to pick their very first pumpkin, going on hayrides and sipping Apple Cider.
Another one of our favorite things to do in the Fall is making leaf piles. Of course, you have to dive right in to make it even more fun! A few years ago, we went to a park near our old house for a family photo opp. We took my sister along and all of us had a blast playing and jumping in the leaves. Lil Man’s broken arm was healing at the time, so we did have to take it a little easy though. The smiles on their faces was so worth it though!
Our family also enjoys hiking through the woods. It’s such a fun thing to do in the Fall months especially because the leaves have fallen, trees are bare and you can see through the woods, unlike the Summer months.
There are so many fun things that your family can do to stay active this fall like hiking, playing in leaves, bike riding and more. That’s why Together Counts wants to inspire you to be active and live a healthy lifestyle. This nationwide program has an Energy Balance principle encouraging people to balance the calories they consume with the calories they burn. It’s not a mission of good vs. bad, but instead sends a message of moderation.
