WOO HOO! Lacrosse finally has a movie! I can’t believe it. Better yet……It is FANTASTIC! When I think of all the different movie ratings that are out, I would give Crooked Arrows an A+, 5 Stars, two-thumbs up, Must See and Don’t Miss It! I think you get my point!

My son started playing lacrosse this spring after a year of begging to play. He not only loved it, but he made our local travel team. He loves lacrosse and couldn’t get his hands on enough books that incorporated lacrosse (Matt Christopher books). We watched Crooked Arrows three times in one day. My whole family LOVED it. The next day we had to be out of town for two different hockey games. We had 4 hours in between the games. My son, sent up with the travel DVD player, popped in Crooked Arrows and within 5 minutes we had the whole team (including parents and siblings) glued to the tiny screen! Everyone LOVED it.
The story is great with so many wonderful messages for young kids. The coach is working through his own struggles with his father and his tribe. He is tasked with coaching the dysfunctional reservation’s high school lacrosse team. The coach inspires the boys and teaches them about their heritage and tribal pride. It comes down to the championship game against a privileged prep school. Who wins? You will have watch Crooked Arrows to find out. You won’t be disappointed.
