I personally think that applying sunscreen to a baby or a toddler should be an Olympic event. There is nothing quite as hassling as attempting to stop a very active kid, slather them in some lotion, beg them to let it dry before they run off again and smear it, wipe it off, or jump into some water, making all that hard work become null-in-void and having the process start all over again. We used the spf 50+ on our fourth of July outing to the pool. I put Sonshine into his swimming shorts and then sprayed him down, inside, while everyone else was still changing. After about 15 minutes, I was positive his sunscreen was dry and on went his rash guard/life vest. After about and hour and a half in the pool and the 100+ degree weather (and a light rain shower), we were to call it quits and head back in doors. I am thrilled to say, we all woke up the next day without even the faintest whisper of a suntan, let alone, a sunburn.
