As soon as the nice weather hit, I immediately though “grilling season, yay”! There’s just nothing that beats the wonderful aroma of charcoal and yummy food all mixed into one. That’s why I was pretty excited to hear about the new Gourmet Creations from Hillshire Farm. With four delcious flavors to choose from, there’s sure to be something that eveyone will like!
- Chicken Apple smoked sausage with Gouda Cheese
- Beef & Bacon smoked sausage with Monterey Jack Cheese
- Beef & Jalapeno smoked sausage with Monterey Jack Cheese
- Sweet Italian Style smoked sausage with Peppers and Mozzarella Cheese
These just came out, so I had a little bit of a hard time finding them in my town. But once I headed to the city, I found them right away. I grabbed a pack of each flavor so that we could try them all. Instead of making a recipe, we cooked the on the grill and served with some homemade potato salad, pickles and deviled eggs.
The one that I tried and loved was the Beef & Bacon smoked sausage with Monterey Jack Cheese. It was so delicious and had he perfect blend of flavors, YUM! Lil Man and The Man are big on hot and spicy foods, so it was a given that they each tried the Beef & Jalapeno smoked sausage with Monterey Jack Cheese. They really enjoyed that. The Sweet Italian Style smoked sausage with Peppers and Mozzarella Cheese was a big hit with one of our friends and my sister raved over the Chicken Apple smoked sausage with Gouda Cheese.
Next time I’m going to try these in a few of the recipes from the Hillshire Farm site. The QUICK AND EASY BEEF AND JALAPENO NACHOS look delcious!
