I have a very simple and delicious recipe for today! You can have this for dinner or make a smaller version for an appetizer this Thanksgiving!
Ingredients
- One large onion
- One teaspoon olive oil
- Chilled whole wheat dough (can usually be found in the bakery refrigerated section of a supermarket)
- Philadelphia Cooking Cream in Italian Herb and Cheese
- Freshly grated Mozzarella
- Freshly grated Parmesan
- Salt and Pepper for taste
***Check the doughs directions, some need to be at room temperature for awhile before handling***
Directions
- Peel and slice your onions
- In a saute pan, heat your teaspoon of oil over medium heat until it simmers.
- Add your onions.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
- This process can take about 45 minutes. With a wooden spoon, stir the onions until they are coated with oil. Stir them every five minutes or so, until they start to stick to the pan. Then stir them every couple of minutes until they’re caramelized ( a rich brown, not black look ) and tender.
- While your onions are cooking, pre-heat the oven to temperature on dough package
- Spread your dough onto a lightly floured pizza pan or cooking sheet
- Once dough is in desired shape, gently poke holes with a fork all over dough, but not crust
- Spread your Philadelphia Cooking Creme onto dough
- Sprinkle desired amount of cheeses onto pizza
- Once onions are cooked, spread evenly over pizza
- Bake according to dough package and enjoy!
Enjoy your Good Grub y’all!
