On October 18th, Shout! Factory released Nickelodeon’s beloved CATDOG Season 1 – Part 1 on DVD! CATDOG follows the conjoined feline-canine duo in crazy adventures while they annoy each other like pests. It’s hilarious!
CATDOG first aired in 1998 and shared their antics with a loyal fan base until Sept of 2004. The show is about Cat and Dog who share the same body and are as different as night and day, but are ultimately best friends. Outcast by most of the town of Nearburg, CATDOG is always finding themselves in amusing and crazy adventures.
A fan favorite, CatDog: Season One – Part One, is a tale of opposites attached starring CatDog, the most unlikely brother duo ever seen. The conjoined brothers love each other yet they are so different, they can?t help but annoy themselves silly with their contrarian activities. Prim and proper, Cat is the very definition of culture, while Dog is the ultimate tail-wagging, sofa-jumping, car-chasing roughneck. But despite their very different personalities, CatDog are the best of friends, sticking to one another ? literally ? through thick and thin, even when it comes to facing off against their devious neighbor Winslow and the rough n tough gang of Greaser Dogs!
I loved watching this show, it was one of my favorites to see with my son Cody when he was little. Kid’s love the antics and silly differences between CATDOG and what child hadn’t thought what it would be like if a Cat and a Dog were stuck together? It has an amazing cast featuring Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants, Rocko’s Modern Life), Jim Cummings (The Super Hero Squad Show, Reno 911) and Carlos Alazraqui (The Fairly OddParents, Rocko’s Modern Life) and is sure to have your family giggling to pieces by the end.
