If you’ve been around here for awhile, you’ve probably read quite a few articles about HEXBUG Nano bugs. They’re fun little robotic creatures that seem to have a mind of their own. HEXBUG Nanos are a big hit in our house and with a lot of people we know, young and old.
Just in time for Halloween, HEXBUG brought out the Limited Edition HEXBUG Nano Halloween Zombie and Glows in the Dark Nano bugs and Habitat Sets. When presented with an opportunity to host a fun party in my house with these infamous little creatures, I just couldn’t resist applying. Upon hearing the great news that I was selected, my whole family squealed with delight!
We were sent all of the tools needed to host a party for a bunch of our friends, including the fun habitat sets. Since Big Bro’s birthday was a couple of weeks ago and the kit arrived just a couple of days before, I knew that I had to do it then. The party goers would have such a blast playing with these fun little creatures!
Here we’re just getting started. The habitat is all set up {by moi because the kids were all riled up so we sent them off to play!} and we’re ready to check out the HEXBUG Nanos! Check out the video below to see them in action. I did the video with the lights on so you could see how it worked.
As you can see, everyone had fun! We had kids ages 9-12, teenagers and adults all in on the fun! That’s really what’s so cool about HEXBUG Nanos, they’re fun for all ages, young and old alike. I don’t know about you, but I’m a total kid at heart, so I love finding toys that the whole family can enjoy playing with together!
We had 4 HEXBUG Nanos out to start with, each of a different color. We played in groups of 4 and started towards the end of the track. We had it set up where the HUXBUG Nanos would have to climb the ramps and enter the last hexagon. There was a stop sign that would let it enter, but not get it, so that’s how we determined our winner. Each winner would then get one of the Limited Edition HEXBUG Nano Halloween Zombies as a prize to take home with them!
When we were done with that, we played a game suggested by HEXBUG and the kids had a blast! We played the Mummy Wrap Race and as you can see, they had somewhat of a difficult time! So difficult in fact, that I had to drop the camera and help them out! The kids picked a partner, then wrapped them in toilet paper like a mummy. As soon as they were both wrapped, each kid would run to the other side of the garage, pick up a piece of toilet paper {8 sheets long to be exact}, tag their partner, then he/she would run and grab a HUXBUG Nano. The teammate would run back and they’d race to get their HEXBUG Nano from one end of the toilet paper to the next. The winner would get a Glows in the Dark Nano bug.
Our party turned out to be so much fun and each guest got to go home with HEXBUG Nano {or two} and a spare battery. The Limited Edition HEXBUG Nano Halloween Zombies were the biggest hit of all! My kids still store theirs in the coffin that it came in!
