I’ve never really been one for frozen dinners. Frozen pizzas is about as far as I can go. So when I was contacted to review Omaha Steaks, I was just a little bit apprehensive. I’ve heard good things about Omaha Steaks and the food looked good, but I wondered if it would really taste good.
I received the Chicken Cordon Bleu Dinner which really does look delicious in the photos. My dinner included:
4 (8 oz.) Breast of Chicken Cordon Bleu
4 (5.75 oz.) Stuffed Baked Potatoes
2 (6.5 oz. trays) Green Beans With Red Peppers
Since I now have quite a large family,I knew this wouldn’t be enough to feed us all. I also thought my kids may not appreciate and/or like it, so I made it on a day that my sister worked and I planned to make something else for my kids for dinner that evening.
“Serve an elegant meal with no fuss and no mess! Chicken Cordon Bleu, made with boneless, skinless breast of chicken and stuffed with delicious Swiss and American cheese is an entr?e they won’t soon forget. Add delicious Twice Baked Potatoes and Whole Green Beans and you’ve got a meal that will get rave reviews! Meal serves 4.”
The cooking directions were very easy to follow. All that I had to do really was take the boxes out of the freezer, take the food out and remove the packaging! It all was done in about 40 minutes. I’m sure you’re wondering how it tasted though, right?
Well first, take a look. It looks pretty delish, doesn’t it? Well I’m happy to say that it tasted as good as it looks! My kids did even end up trying some because one of my bothers was sick and was on a chicken soup diet. They loved it! Lil Man did say that he wishes there was more ham in it though. I think that was his favorite part!
Right about the time dinner was done, The Man had to go pick my sister up from work. The truck broke down and they ended up walking all the way home, so I set 2 plates in the microwave for him and my brother {who went with him}. They came home and ate it without heating it back up. They both finished their plates, said it was really good and wish they could have had it fresh from the oven!
The Chicken Cordon Bleu Dinner from Omaha Steaks definitely gave me a new perspective on frozen meals. It was the same good taste and quality as it would have been had I actually slaved over the stove for hours.
