I know for a fact that Finish Quantum does a better job than our regular detergent did on our dishes. Besides just having cleaner dishes, our baby bottle nipples were the tell tale evidence that Quantum is leaps and bounds ahead of anything we have ever used before.
I run the dishwasher probably twice a day due to the gazillion bottles that we are using for the twins. I absolutely hated the greasy film that was on the nipples with our previous detergent. I would have to take them out of the parts container and re-wash them all by hand in the hottest water possible each and every time. Needless to say- this was a total pain in the rear, and I still didn’t feel like they were ever truly ‘clean’.
Enter Finish Quantum. I still have to deal with my million and one baby bottles and their parts- but the good news is that I no longer have to rewash the nipples after each turn in the dishwasher. They are squeaky clean and clear every time that they come out–hurray!
Of course all of our other dishes are looking pretty good too- I don’t pre soak- but out of habit I do pre rinse. Old habits die hard I guess, as I can’t really see myself tossing grimy plates in the machine without being rinsed off first. Finish says I can though, so maybe I will.

Overall, I really love these Finish Quantum tabs. They might be a little bit more expensive than your other dishwashing soap- but it’s worth it. I am no longer using liquid soap in addition to my tabs- so I am saving there- and as for time, well that’s a big win.
