Right now my life is revolving around my kids. They’re young still (2 years and the twins almost 5 months) so I’m not ready to have an identity crisis just yet. That being said- since everything I do revolves around them I get really, REALLY excited when I find a terrific product or company that has something for them. I also become extremely loyal and will shout my opinion from the rooftops to anyone who will listen if I get this excited over a product. This happens once in a while. To my great surprise, I have stumbled upon such a company (not just a product) with Tri Derma for my very first review and giveaway! To begin, I was sent two samples – first is the Baby Severe Diaper Rash Fast Healing Cream. I will start by saying that I know I am a pretty lucky mama. I haven’t really had to contend with diaper rash more than a time or two- so for me to evaluate this cream I decided to use it on my kiddos (all three) when I saw even mild redness or chafing. All three of my boys tend to have redness from time to time, so I applied the cream where I saw fit. I will tell you that I was NERVOUS to do so because I use cloth diapers, so I used a few of my ‘well loved’ dipes and held my breath. It feels different- not tacky or sticky- and not heavy. Rubbing it in made it so that there weren’t globs to get all over the place. I asked if this product was safe for use on cloth diapers- and was told that YES, it is. It does not have any tacky or sticky residue that will harm or stain your dipes. Of course, I encourage you to give it a test run first on an older dipe just to be sure- we all have different washing systems/water/etc so there aren’t any guarantees that yours will also emerge unscathed like mine. And yes, mine were fine, and no redness on any baby bottoms either! This is my new go to recommendation for anyone looking for a diaper cream that is safe to use on cloth or regular dipes.
What really impressed my husband however, is the All-Purpose Aloe Healing & Cleansing Gel. One of my twins is a bit of a chub. He has a neck that is pretty much invisible due to the happy baby fat rolls in that vicinity- which many moms know lead to red, irritated and chapped skin in that area as well no matter how much care you take to keep it clean and dry. My husband has made comments on a couple of occasions as to how bad his neck looked- so I suggested we try this- and it was awesome! We applied it over two nights and his neck looked great. I can only imagine the kinds of things that three boys will get into over the years. Oy. I’d better buy stock in this company now.
Overall impression: I absolutely recommend. I also encourage you to investigate the rest of their products and see if there is something that might be what you are looking for. They make many different products- not just for baby.
