When asked to do a review for Seapak’s Butterfly Shrimp I jumped on board as a drowning sailor would a passing ship. I could not have been more pleased with how the recipes came out and the taste of Seapak’s Butterfly Shrimp and Popcorn Fish was absolutely amazing. Amazing in it’s quality for having tasted just as good as what I could have purchased at the restaurant down the street and also for it’s simplicity to make. Neither one of the packages took me than 15 minutes to bake in the oven and I have to exclaim to anyone who is listening, they came out crispy!! Every time I bake any frozen seafood in the oven it comes out with one soggy end or softer than it would if I were to fry it. I like baking because it’s healthier so this is always disappointing. However, both of these packages came out CRISPY, crispy, crispy as if I had fried them on the stove and quite frankly I found that to be astounding and actually went on talking about this to my husband for hours who thought I was probably crazed, but you know what I’m talking about!
So I wanted to write this review for Manda’s Meals. The recipes for the dips are not mine, but they are very good and so, so easy it would break your heart. All the recipes can be found on Seapak’s website along with many, many more. You will have a tasty beautiful dish on your table that looks just as good as a restaurants in less than an hour and that, my readers, is fantastic if you have children that keep coming into the kitchen when you are trying to cook and handing you alphabet letters.

Remove Olive Oil and replace with Cooking Wine. |
I’m not going to go into full details as I normally do on Manda’s Meals because all the recipes are already written out on Seapak.com. I just wanted to make some notes to things I had changed for my own recipes.
The Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce for the Popcorn Fish calls for Dijon mustard. You can use normal yellow mustard as I had done and it still tastes GREAT. This Honey Mustard recipe is now in my personal recipe book. You should bookmark it!
The Lemon Herb Butter Sauce is actually a dip for the Popcorn Fish, however, if you add a tbsp of cooking wine and/or white wine to the sauce and 1 clove of garlic while it’s cooking and drizzle it over the Butterfly Shrimp and some rice…it is a real treat. This is what I had done.
If you notice in the picture I used Rice-a-Roni for my son, I personally used brown rice which is not pictured, it’s healthier and tasted great. I was only wanting to show that you could mix it with things you already may have.

And here we are, a wonderful tasting meal, it looks lovely on the table and is absolutely something both children and adults can enjoy. Personally, I’m going to go get the Shrimp Scampi now because I found this recipe for Scampi with Broccoli Florets I want to try.
