Yep, you heard read that right! We are boat owners!
After the Man searched Craigslist for weeks, we took a very long drive to the Green bay area on Saturday morning to go look at a boat for sale. It’s the one he really wanted out of all the ones we saw on there or already looked at. We were hoping the trip would be worth it in the end.
Well we couldn’t get a hold of the guy when we got there, so we stopped and ate lunch at A & W, one of my favorite places btw. We finished eating and tried again. No answer. We drove around the town and along the river seeing if there was anything else for sale while we were there. Why not, right? We tried getting a hold of him again. After about an hour or so of driving around, we decided to make a pit stop for a bathroom break and drinks for the road. The Man decided to make one last phone call before we hit the road and this time the guy answered. So we went to take a look.
Of course he fell head over heels like a little boy in love and we went home with a new boat! Here, take a look!
I bet this smile is still on his face right now. He’s currently “working” on the boat.
We took the boat out for the first time yesterday. We launched at bender Park on Lake Michigan so he had a huge body of water without a lot of other boat traffic the first time he drove it. It ran great!
A bunch of family and friend all went out with their boat and jet ski too. We dropped anchor by a beach and played in the water.
The Man and his cousin went out on the jet ski and I hopped on when his cousin came back. He ended up dumping us both off it! Can you tell I just want to get the hell off it? LOL
It was a great day and tons of fun. I can’t wait to do it again. I’m so happy that we are now officially boat owners. We’re going to make some great memories on it!
Now……… to think of a name.
