Did you know that Wisk was the first liquid laundry detergent to market in 1956? That’s over 50 years of cleaning America’s clothes! I don’t think my dad was even born yet, that was quite some time ago. They’ve recently came up with a new stain fighting formula but kept the same low price.
New Wisk? with Stain Spectrum? Technology is engineered to target the major stain groupsNew stain vocabulary:There are hundreds of different stains but most stains fall into three major groups:* Carbohydrates such as milk chocolate
* Proteins such as grass
* Oils such as peanut butterThe other groups of stains include:* Bio such as blood
* Bleachable such as coffee
* Particulate such as dirt
* Synthetic such as ink

I was a big time tomboy when I was a kid. I played in the dirt and mud constantly and even used to catch frogs and snakes. I know, pretty gross huh? I used to come home so filthy that my mom would make me strip down and hop in the bathtub before I could get my grubby little hands on any of her stuff. Then she’d go wash my clothes and half the time, the stains stayed. It got to the point where I had designated play clothes when I wanted to go outside. Well those “play clothes” usually had stains and rips, so it was just a little embarrassing going outside in them! I’m sure she even had to throw some of them away which is even worse and such a waste of money!
Take a look at the video above. That’s an old Wisk commercial. Heck, some of you may remember it for all I know. I bet my Grandma does! I remember some of the “ring around the collar” commercials and I never really knew what it meant until I had stains of my own. I can imagine how much harder stains were to get out back then though. We’ve come quite a long way, thanks goodness!
The video above is the new Wisk commercial. Some of you may have seen it already. I actually haven’t had the pleasure yet, but that’s probably because I don’t watch much television {GASP!}. I am definitely looking forward to trying this new formula and put it to the test though because I can use all the stain fighting power I get get around here!
