My daughters are super obsessed with the Tinker Bell movies. For Halloween last year my 3 year old went as Tink and my 6 year old as the pirate fairy, Zarina. These straight to DVD movies are as amazing as the ones that go to theaters. Disney really brings to life Tinker Bell and all her fairy friends. The latest adventure is Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast.
Return to Pixie Hollow for the heartwarming and humorous adventure ?Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast?! An ancient myth of a fabled creature sparks the curiosity of Tinker Bell and her good friend Fawn, an animal fairy who’s not afraid to break the rules to help an animal in need. But this creature ? massive and wondrous with glowing green eyes ? is not welcome in Pixie Hollow ? and the scout fairies are determined to capture the mysterious beast, who they fear will destroy their home. Fawn, who sees a tender heart beneath his gruff exterior, must convince Tink and her fairy friends to risk everything to rescue the NeverBeast.
Just check out the adorable trailer above. My daughters literally squeed with excitement when I showed them the clip before showing them the movie. In this movie you follow Fawn, an animal fairy, that has befriended Gruff, the NeverBeast. Tinker Bell is not prominent in the movie but honestly we all didn’t mind at all. Instead you get to follow Fawn and learn more about her and her ability to work with animals. Nyx is the leader of the Scout fairies and they want to capture Gruff to save Pixie Hollow. The storyline is all about learning to trust your instincts and although there are no big plot twists the movie easily captivates the audience as we learn that Gruff is basically a big teddy bear at heart. These movies are about friendship and working together.
The animation for this one is magnificent and truly “theater quality.” Each fairy movie is somehow better quality each time. I sometimes see with series movies that the quality goes down because they just assume people will buy anyway but Disney instead exceeds my expectations as they take the “magic” further each time. Make sure to watch all the bonus features as they really are enjoyable. My daughters absolutely love to watch their Disney movies through the Disney Movies Anywhere App on their iPads for viewing anywhere we go so I always get the Blu-ray copy with digital copy included.
